CLI

The extension subcommands of the adanotch command.

Install the adanotch command as /usr/local/bin/adanotch from Settings › Developer › Terminal command › Install. For every command, run adanotch --help.

init

adanotch init [folder] [--name "<name>"] [--id <id>]
adanotch init --types

Creates a new extension folder: manifest.json, src/index.ts, tests, package.json, tsconfig.json and adanotch/ (types, schema, test kit, runtime). The name defaults to the folder's name, the ID to local.<you>.<name>.

In an existing extension, --types only refreshes the adanotch/ folder with your current Adanotch version and writes that version to adanotch/VERSION. dev and lint remind you when adanotch/ doesn't match the installed version. Details

dev

adanotch dev [folder] [--once]

Loads the folder's extension into Adanotch in development mode, reloads it every time the built script or manifest.json changes, and prints the extension's console output and errors, with source lines, to the terminal. --once loads it once and exits. Developer mode must be on. Use it alongside npm run watch.

lint

adanotch lint [folder]

Checks the manifest, the bundle size, permissions, and whether adanotch/ is current. Exits with 1 on errors. Details

build

adanotch build [folder] [--out <file>]

Runs lint first, then makes a shareable .adanotchext.

ext

adanotch ext <extension-id> <command> [data]

Sends a command event to a running extension. data is parsed as JSON when it is JSON, and sent as a string otherwise.

adanotch ext local.you.pomodoro start 25
adanotch ext local.you.notes add '{"text":"Buy milk"}'

The same as a URL: adanotch://ext/<id>/<command>?data=<data>.
